Autumn Leaves

I am so, so, so, so, so, annoyingly happy as I am writing this.

I think my family are grateful I've gone away to write.

Anyway.

Autumn is my absolute favourite season. I love it so, so much. If you are around me or meet me in autumn, you will get the best possible version of me!

I love wrapping up toasty with coats and hats and scarves etc.

I just love everything about it!!! I just feel so content and happy in autumn!!

I also weirdly eat a lot better in autumn. All I want to eat is orange things!

I'm constantly finding recipes for sweet potatoes, squashes, PUMPKIN! Loads!!

I love it, and I use a lot of sage and cinnamon too! ( I make a LOT of cinnamon rolls in autumn/winter, so I don't eat all that good... gluten free and vegan though! )

(They taste amazing, trust me.)

Heaven!

I am now officially in autumn mode because today when I went to the shops, my favourite candles of all time were back in!!!

They only sell them around Halloween and then they disappear for a year! I'm stocking up this time!

PUMPKIN SPICE HALLOWEEN CANDLES!!!!!

They used to only do little ones for 69p but this year I've found 18oz jars!!..... for £2.99!!!!!!!!

I am obsessed. They smell so, so good! Normally I find pumpkin spiced things are too heavily spiced with cinnamon or cloves (vom) but these smell good enough to eat!!!!

Also another reason I love autumn...HALLOWEEN!!! I love Halloween, it's very rare I do anything because it always turns out to be a hype then a let down but I love sitting in watching horror movies with Halloween treats and seeing all the kids dressed up trick or treating!!

And I love the all the berry colours that come out to play. I wear them all year round anyway, but I wear them practically every day in autumn!!

I also love cosy nights in with my favourite tea's!

Cosy, Cosy.

So yes, this is basically a 'WHY I LOVE AUTUMN' post!!

I LOVE it.

I'm going to end it there because I am too excited!!!

A Little Bit of Love...

I just thought I'd write a quick post on one of my favourite things in the world...underwear!

I love underwear so much, it just makes me feel so nice when I have pretty underwear on, even if no-one see's it! - (which they don't!)

But that's fine because it's about me. I have always struggled with having boobs. I've never been a fan of my own, they were okay when I was younger and they were a C/D, but now I've actually grown and I'm an E/F (depending on where I go) I struggle even more so, because finding nice underwear that doesn't look like my Nan's or finding a bra that doesn't look enormous and like you literally have brightly coloured scaffolding on is a battle when you're on a budget.

I tend to wait for the sales to buy my 'good bra's', because you get some really good ones for a fraction of the price! The Agent Provocateur sales are always pretty amazing!

Most of my underwear is black and I really like vintage inspired underwear, long lines, high waists etc.

Black is just mu colour I guess and I've actually found some pretty nice ones, I've picked up a few sets from George at Asda which are gorgeous but I'll get on with what I'm actually posting about here....

PRIMARK. Yes, Primark.

They have absolutely smashed the underwear over the last year or so, they did a gorgeous, luxury sort of range which they sold as separates, which is perfect for me because if I buy their sets, their bigger sized bra's also come with bigger sized bottoms which don't fit me so this was perfect! And they were perfectly priced, I think I paid no more than £7 for a bra.

I managed to pick up a few before my sizes in the bottoms were gone and they are amazing! They're so comfortable and actually wash well. I mean, I know they're not gonna last me years but hey! They're pretty, they fit and are super affordable so I don't mind repurchasing each season.

They also have upped their game when it comes to sets. I think the sets are around £5 which is amazing and they have loads of different styles and although the sets don't really come in my size, my friend is constantly stocking up and I get super jealous! But every now and then I'll come across a set that that does come in my size and it's like finding a really super, top secret, hidden gem! So keep your eyes peeled!

Jan/Feb Haul

So, although I am trying to save my pennies, sometimes, I just can't stop myself. I swear, I think I black out as I'm at the till. If I can't remember, it didn't happen, yeah?? :/

To be fair to myself though, I don't tend to go any more expensive than good ol' Primark or H&M when I'm trying to save.

There are more things that I have bought than what I'm showing on here....but I can't remember what....or where I've put them, and I'm wearing one of the t-shirts.

Just thought seeing as it's Sunday, my posts have been pretty few and far between, boyfriend has gone home and I need to distract myself from going to the kitchen to stuff my face with everything I can't have that contains gluten, that I'd do a little haul post of the things I've bought over January and February!!

Here gooooes...

Boots

Ring from Regal Rose Ebay (Pixie Lott collection)

Primark

Everything5pounds.com

Superdrug

£5 - Monki

£2 - Monki

£12 - New Look

                                                                   £12 - River Island

£9.80 - Nike Outlet Store

£5 - Primark

Everything5pounds.com

Well, yeah, that's some of it!!

I am obsessed with my little suedette style skull flats!! I stumbled across them on everything5pounds.com and thought, 'for a fiver???!!' so I got two pairs, one in black and one in like a dark green, they are gorgeous and were only £5 each with, I think it was £3 shipping or so? Not bad, not bad.

The primark dress I was so impressed with!! It was only £5 and it's actually a really lovely fitting, flattering dress, its like a t-shirt skater skirt dress but, it's just so lovely on, I couldn't believe it!!

Massive trainer addict. Couldn't say no to £9.80.

Everything else was bought in sales or online.

I wanted the Regal Rose ring so bad before christmas, and then on boxing day I came across it on Ebay for half the price (£9), and when I looked at the seller it was Regal Rose so I've been checking back for bargains!!

I'm gonna go have a rummage through my room now to try find the rest for part. 2! haha.

xx

Guess who's back....

I havent written in soooo long and feel pretty lame about it, I've been catching up with a lot of people the last few weeks! It has been quite fun but I'm pretty low on funds and didn't get the job I went for....grim.

Right now, I'm sitting in my boyfriends grandparents house while he's at uni. I am so paranoid someone is going to come in (even though they're away), that I'm sitting in the kitchen with a cup of tea watching Jeremy Kyle. Oh the glamour, eh?!

He was supposed to drive me home at 7am before he went in, but because I'm nice I let him have an extra hour in bed (yes, I hate mornings and physically would not get out of bed, it was still too dark and cold at 6am!) but I also forgot I had plans today, I bought a top last week and my nan loved it and has ordered me to go get her one too - in the same colour so 'we can be twins'. Haha I love ny nan, she's crazy.

Argh, I seriously jump everytime I hear a noise....calm Sarah, calm.

I'm not really sure what to write about here without rambling like a crazy lady.

Hmm...what have I bought recently?....

Primark peach lip balm for £1! I dont love it as far as lip balms go, but I LOVE the packaging!! It's so pretty!!

I've also bought some cute ankle boots from the New Look kids section!

I'm on the lookout for new jeans, i love jeans far too muh but I wear them to death!! I saw some really nice ones on Monki but I might get them for christmas!

Speaking of.....anybody got any cute ideas for christmas presents?

I'm focusing on my mum and sister mainly this year. Got them a cute mini REN set each yesterday and I'm going to DIY/customise some pj's and a hoody and some socks for my sister, she's obsessed with pj's. Still not sure what to get my mum and I think my sister and I are going to just fill a gift bag with bits and bobs for my brother. I prefer getting loads of little things at christmas instead of one big present and a couple of bit, it's because I'm a big kid really, I love unwrapping presents!!!

I'll post some DIY pics when I get started!

Any helpful suggestions or tips are mooore than welcome!!! :)

Holiday Blues...

Packing is always a pain, although, I kind of love it.

I've decided this year, I'm not going to take loads, I normally take like, my whole wardrobe and the kitchen sink too!! Not this time.

Going to take some bits that I can wear with different things!!

Shorts obviously, I think shorts are going to me my priority, then I'll just shove in some crop tops and tshirts and vests for by the pool and going out. Got my *gulp* swimwear ready. I HATE bikini's and I have only one matching one, so I have a plain black top and different bottoms, and I have a red and white stripey top too, so we'll see how we go because I also have two one-pieces which I will probably try stick to, because I was doing so well and hit my target weight and as soon as I did, for some reason, couldn't stop eating so I'm not feeling too great about getting into a bikini, but its ok, because I'm taking a leopard sheer oversized blouse and a black and white stripey kimono thingymabob to wear over them.

I'm really not a dressing up kind of girl, I mean, I like dressing up on occasion, and I love getting ready, but I suppose I would say my style is more comfortable and laid back, and my leather jacket goes with everything. that's like my one rule. So, this means I wont be taking any form of heels on holiday with me, why be uncomfortable when you're meant to be relaxing?? So it's converse all the way, and some sandals.

I put together some ideas last night before I got into bed....

So I'm hoping if I just shove a dress or two in and some more tops I'll be all good! Wow, those converse could do with a trip to the washing machine. They used to be white!!! haha!!

Any holiday packing tips?? Anyone??

Primark A/W 2012 (part two)

Part two, here we go.....

I love, love, love this silver sequin clutch sooooo much.

Bit's n' Bob's

Not much to report really.

Yesterday I had an assessment at college but had lost my letter telling me what time it was at.... oops.... so I got there at 9am to ask what time it was, I knew it wasn’t that early, but I ended up sitting there until 10:30am after asking about five people if they could tell me, they just kept telling me to wait in reception, now I’m pretty laid back but my patience was seriously wearing thin, so I walked downstairs to the salon (where I’m not even supposed to be anywhere near until next week) and asked one of the office staff there, who literally typed my name into her computer and in about 5 seconds told me it wasn’t until 1pm!! I could have screamed...or hugged her for finally telling me!!

So I decided there was no point going all the way home and back again so I decided to take a stroll around the shops, mainly Topshop, because it’s huge and kills at least half an hour to look around, Primark and New Look. I’m obsessed with all three places at the minute. Picked up a clutch in Topshop which was £38, but walked into Primark and they had practically the same one for £6, needless to say I’m going to go for the Primark option, and I’m going to get it in nude/pink too! Both for a fraction of the Topshop one. Was just about to spend stupid amounts because I had picked up loads of silly little bits that I don’t need, when my mum rang me and asked if I wanted to go for lunch. So, that we did!! Which was good! I was pretty nervous about my assessment but my mum gave me a few words of encouragement, which really helped!

I don’t know why I was so nervous, it was ridiculously easy!

Anyway, today my sister and I went into town for a mooch and I ran into Primark and bought a couple of bits. Got some socks, a ring, a nail polish set, some watermelon fake nails and tissues – yes, I know, impulse buy because they had leopard packaging.

I can’t wait to try the nails!! They’re so cute and colourful! The nail polishes are cute too! There’s a metallic silver, gold and rose kind of colour with a shimmer in it and a glitter one, the glitter particles are tiny so it’s really pretty and sparkly!! Can’t complain for £2!!

Sorry pics aren't great! Still need to get a camera! until then my phone will have to do!! :)

Got that stuff and 5 pairs of socks for less than a tenner!! Not bad, not bad.....

Ramble, Ramble...

Yesterday was such a nice day so I decided to walk into town to get some bits and bobs. I shouldn't have really...supposed to be saving for my holiday...oops.

I bought LOVE magazine to read while I'm away and I'm trying soooo hard not to peek.
I also got a plain black skater skirt, some lashes, bedding and a toothbrush...exciting stuff eh?

After sitting in the sun for a bit, I decided to go grab some lunch in one of my favourite little places.
Lentil soup and fresh juice is definitely the way forward.

I had the best little time on my lonesome....best date ever, no sarcasm there either!!

I do love people watching, it's so much fun! Saw an OAP in neon Nike hi tops, some funky leggings and a drop arm vest and some Ray Bans. She was a random sighting indeed.

I didn't actually go to many shops today, tried my best to avoid them because if I see something, I just can't say no, it's near impossible.

Primark however, had some pretty awesome things in.
People give Primark so much crap because of how cheap it is and the 'quality' of the stuff, but to be honest, I love it and I always check items out for quality before I buy no matter where I am, so as far as quality goes, I think it's not that far off Topshop and the like. I LOVE Topshop, don't get me wrong but sometimes the quality of some of their stuff is shocking for the price you pay. I do get kind of annoyed when I have something that falls apart and I see a cheaper version of it in Primark, which happens all the time, and I just think 'whyyyy didn't I just get that one?!' If I do spot something similar in Primark to anywhere else and it's cheaper, I will get it from Primark, I don't mind being cheap with disposable fashion items.

I do however, contradict myself as I am a HUGE fan of Topshop basics. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their basic tee's and vests and as much as I hate parting with about £15 for something basic, I still do it and never regret it. I love basics so much though, I mainly wear plain stuff and if it's plain it goes with everything!!

I always wear plain tops/tees/vests with leggings and I am a huge legging lover!!

I wear Primark control leggings. Seriously. Best leggings ever. They're only about £4 and they're high waisted and not matte, but not super shiny either, just right, a nice subtle shine, and they suck you in!! How much more could you ask for £4??? They're the only leggings I wear, unless I'm running, then I just wear the £3 Primark basic leggings.

I'm currently on the lookout for some matte leather look leggings but just haven't come across any that I like, same with disco pants, my legs are super short and chunky so I don't think I could pull off disco pants but I am determined to find those leggings!!! If you know of any good ones....let me know!! :)

Today was super random, went to pick my new office and picked a cute one if I do say so myself!!

Then my mum decided we should go to Southport for a walk around and some chips and candy floss because the weather was nice. So, that we did. It was really fun in the end, haven't really been there since I was a kid. It was slightly depressing going past the fair and seeing that it had closed down, and then getting cheated out of a couple of quid in the 2p machines in the arcade!! But other than that, it was really nice spending the day with my mum and sister.

Then we popped into Waitrose on our way home, we never shop at Waitrose so I was totally lost, but, I did find my favourite Naked drink 'Green Machine', and the Ben & Jerry's ice cream sandwich which was a total bonus. I'm going to cry tomorrow though when I get on the scales. I've been so out of control the last week while I've been ill. Oh well, back to running and eating good this week!! Only got just over 2 weeks until my holiday....dreading bikini time. Can't fight it now!! haha.

Going to go make some hot choc and catch up on Breaking Bad....

Wow this post really was just a load of rambling. Sorry.

Blank Canvas....

ARGHHHH!!!

I am so bad at tidying my room. I sound like a child, I know, but I have SO much stuff that I can’t bare to part with!! Clothes, shoes, make up, DVD’s, CD’s and loads of sentimental things!! It really is ridiculous though, I live in chaos. It is organised chaos though, I know where most things are. When I do tidy and ‘put things away’, I ALWAYS forget where and it drives me mad.

Anyway, I’ve had a bit of a crappy week, and when this particular type of blaaaah goes down I can’t even lay in my own bed at night without feeling uncomfortable and needing to change things. I’ve also got a pretty grim cold that I can’t shake off, so I haven’t slept for a few nights anyway and today I lay on my bed for a minute and just thought to myself, ‘I NEED TO BURN EVERYTHING’. Yes, I’m slightly melodramatic but I can’t help it. So I set about my mission to get rid of everything I could.
I got straight under the bed – my favourite hiding spot- and started pulling out all sorts of things, magazines, shoes, clothes....a random fork? make up...literally all sorts!!

The only thing I actually like about tidying my room is the little things I find that I treasure and had forgotten all about! Like today for example, I came across a letter I got in 2004 from an old boyfriend, it was the funniest thing ever, it was all random bits of memories and things we had done or things we had watched together and then something he had to get off his chest about my boyfriend at the time (one of his so called best friends, yes, I know that sounds bad on my part, but it wasn’t like it sounds!), he had to tell me about my boyfriend cheating on me and how sorry he was and that he would never treat me like that and breaking up was such a mistake etc. It was actually a really funny/sweet letter and then at the end to cheer me up he insisted I watch Battle Royale because he knew I’d like it....I still watch it when I’m feeling sad to cheer myself up. I haven’t seen it, but Battle Royale is kind of what I imagine The Hunger Games to be like, but for kids?? But yeah, I love finding little gems like that!!

I also noticed that I hoard sunglasses, I have over 20 pairs....I did not know this.

So far, I have a bin bag full of clothes and about 10 pairs of shoes to get rid of and I still have no room for the stuff I’ve kept. Gotta keep going I guess.

When I’m finally done, I’m going to paint my room white, like a blank canvas, cover up the things I want to forget. Yep. I’ve spotted some bedding in good old Primark that I want too. I’m supposed to be saving for my holiday, but it’s something I just have to buy! Haha.

Also on my list is;

fake tan (St. Moritz – best ever)
eyelashes (Dimples)
earrings (River Island...£1.50 – can’t resist!)
hair dye
Couple of t-shirts to DIY

I can’t wait to DIY some more stuff for my holiday. I’m obsessed with dip dying and studding.
Might colour my hair too! it’s ombre at the moment but I keep thinking about colours. It used to be Alpine Green. I loved it maybe it’s time to go back?.......

I’ll ponder that thought whilst I get on with my room.....after I've finished painting my nails....

Nails

Nails are currently one of my favourite accessories at the moment.

I am obsessed and never leave the house without having done my nails. This is a fairly new development, as I used to paint them and leave them to chip away...yes, I’m a scruff, but now I love painting them or wearing false ones or using nail stickers.

I love reds, blacks, pinks and glitters. I’m wearing ‘Red Wine’ by Barry M today, but I love ‘Lincoln Park After Dark’ by OPI and I also have a rainbow glitter one that I love but I’m not sure who that is by...I’ll check that out, I think It only cost me £1 as well which is pretty good!

I’ve found that Primark do some awesome nail things, I’ve been using their french manicure false nails if I’ve gone out or had an occasion where I didn’t want too much colour, the glue isn’t amazing but I found that once I filed lightly over my nail to rough it up a bit, they stuck much better! They actually stayed on for about 4/5 days which you cant complain about because they were £1.
I’ve also just bought some gold Aztec –ish  nail wraps from there for £1 which I can’t wait to try out!

I do love a good bargain!! £1 for nails is a definite must. Even if it turns out they’re not for you, they’re still worth a go and you’ll get pretty nails for a day/night out of them and you’re not really losing out when it comes to the price.

My sister is a nail tech but I never get my nails done. Ever. I don’t know why, she always offers to do them for me but I can’t function with acrylics and I’m a little bit allergic to gel, which is a bit rubbish because I’m in love with shellac and rockstar nails! So I just find things I can do myself and I like to be able to change my nails everyday if I want to.

OPI are my little guilty pleasure though, whenever I buy an OPI it always feels like a treat!!
I love their collections and the little sets and mini’s make great gifts for friends or family!
I think my favourite celebrity collaboration so far is Katy Perry’s , Nicki Minaj had some nice ones too!

Well, I’m gonna go try out these nail wraps!
