Hi Ho, Hi Ho....

It's off to work I go!!

Ok, so I've been looking for a job for a while now and let me tell you, it is NOT easy.

The only way you seem to be able to get a job these days is through someone you know, which is extremely frustrating!!

I absolutely HATE job searching, and it's not like there are new vacancies every single day.

It just gets really old, really fast and it really, really gets you down.

I've done hair here and there, but I can't imagine working in a salon. Doing hair was something I enjoyed doing, but my college experience ruined it. My course was completely rushed and I recently found out we were taught in shortcuts and the people who went back for level 3 had to be taught the real way to do things, so that was a total blow and I've lost confidence in myself because I feel like I don't know what I'm doing, even though I know I actually do because I actually read up and watched videos and demo's constantly.

ANYWAY.

I have a job finally!

And I think I'm gonna really like it! It's an unusual one, which I like, and I get to learn loads and travel a bit.

People are going to have opinions on this no matter what, because people always do and that's fine, I have my own opinion, so you're more than welcome to have your own but I'm still excited and find it really interesting.

I'm going to be a tobacconist.

The shop I will be working in is almost 200 years old!!

I am so excited to start tomorrow, I get to learn about pipes, cigars, tobacco....and my personal favourite, whiskey!!

I'm obviously very nervous, it's never fun being the new kid on the block but I've already done a trial shift with the people who work there and it all seems pretty interesting and the people are nice!! Which is always good!

I am so glad this is something I can get my teeth into! I've missed learning and I have been told apparently there is a qualification I can go for, 'masters of cigars', and I would be the first girl to do it! So, obviously, I want to do it so bad, and be the first girl!

It does seem like a pretty male dominated industry but I really want to get into it and become a specialist!

But we all know, besides the money, the best part of a new job is, of course, shopping for new clothes!

I have to wear black or black and white, which is fine because I live in black anyway so I already had a lot of stuff in but I ran out and got myself some pretty darn cute brogues and some trousers and I have to say, they look pretty snazzy on. I love the men's tailored look and I think that's what I'm going to be investing in, because I plan on staying in this job until I've literally done all I can with it...which I hope is never, because there will always be more to learn and more products coming out, new techniques etc.

So yeah, blazers, boyfriend coats, brogues, loafers, trousers, crisp white shirts! I can't wait to get paid!

I also needed a coat but was pretty strapped for cash, I looked everywhere, even good ol' Primark and just couldn't find one I liked, I wanted smart but structured, what's with all the weird fuzzy and bobbly textures this season?? Anyway I never think to look in Forever 21 for coats...I don't know why but I went in and there on the sale rail was a black, military/nautical boyfriend coat in my size! PERFECT! looked at the tag and it was reduced from £47.75 to £22.99 so I grabbed it and ran to the till.....rang up at £16. Was the best day ever!
I always struggle finding coats but this is a keeper! I'm not a huge fan of the gold buttons but I've pressed the collar so it is more 'boyfriend' style because I'll only wear it open anyway and I love it!!!

F&F Brogues.

I just thought I'd write this post as a little update!

I think I may do a 'Back to Work' outfit post/series??

Moon Child

I am obsessed. I love the moon. Always have. My Mum loves it too and we always call each other if it's a particularly good moon or a full moon, our favourite is probably the waxing or waning crescent moon because I was convinced it was the cheshire cat from Alice in Wonderland when I was a kid.

ANYWAY.

This isn't really about the moon.

This is about Boho Moon.

I came across this cute little jewellery site on Instagram, as I do a lot of little jewellery sites lately and I had been following them for a little while and had a look on the site and spotted a few items I wanted!

So, on Friday I think it was, I just decided to go order the stuff I wanted and just happened to check my Instagram before I did and there was a half price code!!! Was made up!

YAY for sales! And my items arrived super fast!! I ordered Friday night and they were here this morning! (Monday), and they were packaged really cute too, with little moon shaped confetti and everything!!

Oh, and did I forget to mention, delivery is only £1 no matter how much you order!! (within the UK, £5 flate rate to the rest of the world!)

Here is what I picked up!!

I'm in love with all of my pieces, especially the necklace because it just reminds me of my Mum and being little!

I should have gotten her a moon too, but I got her a compass, which she loves!

I was heartbroken that the Moonstone Poison Box ring was sold out. It's so beautiful!

But hey! guess I'll just have to keep checking back!

You should definitely check it out, they have some beautiful pieces and are so reasonably priced! Also keep an eye on their Instagram for discount codes! Their username is just @bohomoon

Happy shopping! :)

....and yes, I'm loving piclab right now, still need to work my camera out!

Jan/Feb Haul

So, although I am trying to save my pennies, sometimes, I just can't stop myself. I swear, I think I black out as I'm at the till. If I can't remember, it didn't happen, yeah?? :/

To be fair to myself though, I don't tend to go any more expensive than good ol' Primark or H&M when I'm trying to save.

There are more things that I have bought than what I'm showing on here....but I can't remember what....or where I've put them, and I'm wearing one of the t-shirts.

Just thought seeing as it's Sunday, my posts have been pretty few and far between, boyfriend has gone home and I need to distract myself from going to the kitchen to stuff my face with everything I can't have that contains gluten, that I'd do a little haul post of the things I've bought over January and February!!

Here gooooes...

Boots

Ring from Regal Rose Ebay (Pixie Lott collection)

Primark

Everything5pounds.com

Superdrug

£5 - Monki

£2 - Monki

£12 - New Look

                                                                   £12 - River Island

£9.80 - Nike Outlet Store

£5 - Primark

Everything5pounds.com

Well, yeah, that's some of it!!

I am obsessed with my little suedette style skull flats!! I stumbled across them on everything5pounds.com and thought, 'for a fiver???!!' so I got two pairs, one in black and one in like a dark green, they are gorgeous and were only £5 each with, I think it was £3 shipping or so? Not bad, not bad.

The primark dress I was so impressed with!! It was only £5 and it's actually a really lovely fitting, flattering dress, its like a t-shirt skater skirt dress but, it's just so lovely on, I couldn't believe it!!

Massive trainer addict. Couldn't say no to £9.80.

Everything else was bought in sales or online.

I wanted the Regal Rose ring so bad before christmas, and then on boxing day I came across it on Ebay for half the price (£9), and when I looked at the seller it was Regal Rose so I've been checking back for bargains!!

I'm gonna go have a rummage through my room now to try find the rest for part. 2! haha.

xx

Ramble, Ramble...

Yesterday was such a nice day so I decided to walk into town to get some bits and bobs. I shouldn't have really...supposed to be saving for my holiday...oops.

I bought LOVE magazine to read while I'm away and I'm trying soooo hard not to peek.
I also got a plain black skater skirt, some lashes, bedding and a toothbrush...exciting stuff eh?

After sitting in the sun for a bit, I decided to go grab some lunch in one of my favourite little places.
Lentil soup and fresh juice is definitely the way forward.

I had the best little time on my lonesome....best date ever, no sarcasm there either!!

I do love people watching, it's so much fun! Saw an OAP in neon Nike hi tops, some funky leggings and a drop arm vest and some Ray Bans. She was a random sighting indeed.

I didn't actually go to many shops today, tried my best to avoid them because if I see something, I just can't say no, it's near impossible.

Primark however, had some pretty awesome things in.
People give Primark so much crap because of how cheap it is and the 'quality' of the stuff, but to be honest, I love it and I always check items out for quality before I buy no matter where I am, so as far as quality goes, I think it's not that far off Topshop and the like. I LOVE Topshop, don't get me wrong but sometimes the quality of some of their stuff is shocking for the price you pay. I do get kind of annoyed when I have something that falls apart and I see a cheaper version of it in Primark, which happens all the time, and I just think 'whyyyy didn't I just get that one?!' If I do spot something similar in Primark to anywhere else and it's cheaper, I will get it from Primark, I don't mind being cheap with disposable fashion items.

I do however, contradict myself as I am a HUGE fan of Topshop basics. I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE their basic tee's and vests and as much as I hate parting with about £15 for something basic, I still do it and never regret it. I love basics so much though, I mainly wear plain stuff and if it's plain it goes with everything!!

I always wear plain tops/tees/vests with leggings and I am a huge legging lover!!

I wear Primark control leggings. Seriously. Best leggings ever. They're only about £4 and they're high waisted and not matte, but not super shiny either, just right, a nice subtle shine, and they suck you in!! How much more could you ask for £4??? They're the only leggings I wear, unless I'm running, then I just wear the £3 Primark basic leggings.

I'm currently on the lookout for some matte leather look leggings but just haven't come across any that I like, same with disco pants, my legs are super short and chunky so I don't think I could pull off disco pants but I am determined to find those leggings!!! If you know of any good ones....let me know!! :)

Today was super random, went to pick my new office and picked a cute one if I do say so myself!!

Then my mum decided we should go to Southport for a walk around and some chips and candy floss because the weather was nice. So, that we did. It was really fun in the end, haven't really been there since I was a kid. It was slightly depressing going past the fair and seeing that it had closed down, and then getting cheated out of a couple of quid in the 2p machines in the arcade!! But other than that, it was really nice spending the day with my mum and sister.

Then we popped into Waitrose on our way home, we never shop at Waitrose so I was totally lost, but, I did find my favourite Naked drink 'Green Machine', and the Ben & Jerry's ice cream sandwich which was a total bonus. I'm going to cry tomorrow though when I get on the scales. I've been so out of control the last week while I've been ill. Oh well, back to running and eating good this week!! Only got just over 2 weeks until my holiday....dreading bikini time. Can't fight it now!! haha.

Going to go make some hot choc and catch up on Breaking Bad....

Wow this post really was just a load of rambling. Sorry.
