August Favourites.

Some of my favourites this month.

I have a fair few lip products but to be honest I mainly stick to what I'm comfortable with everyday. However, I've been playing around this month, I'm seriously loving either really red, or dark lips.

Here are my faves at the moment!!

L-R; MUA Luxe Velvet Lips in Kooky and Reckless, MUA matte in Fawn Fancy, Collection in Revenge and E.L.F Lip Definer & Shaper.

Matte Lips are my all time favourite ever. I just find them a lot less messy.

Kooky and Reckless are the two shades I just HAD to have when I first saw the MUA velvets online and they didn't disappoint!!

I wear the MUA Matte Fancy Fawn all the time, this is just a great everyday lipstick, it's really subtle.

Now, I was feeling brave and I am a total goth at heart, so I bought this Collection Lipstick in 'Revenge' a while ago, this isn't matte but it is absolutely beautiful, it's not as dark as I expected but more of a dark red, wine colour. I love it. It's perfect for nights out!

The E.L.F Lips Definer & Shaper seriously helps if you want that Kylie Jenner effect! I am obsessed with this.

L-R; MakeUp Revolution Rebel With A Cause, Rimmel Kate 107, MAC Satin Red, MAC Hue.

Rebel With A Cause is a new one I've found just in this last week, and it is honestly a gorgeous colour, I'm not sure about the consistency yet, but that may just be because I love matte too much, but as I said, amazing colour, and for £1 who can complain?!

These three I have had for a while now and I haven't paid them as much attention as I maybe should have, but I have rediscovered them this last month!

The Kate Moss one is just amazing. I don't even know what to say because it's just so perfect for me! I even put this on under 'Revenge' for a deeper colour, and it lasts a little longer then too!

MAC. Well, to be honest, I'm so bored of MAC lipstick, you can get so many quality dupes for such a better price. BUT I do love the ones I have, Satin red is just SO red, I really like it, but I don't like that its not matte.....and although I just said I'm bored of MAC lipsticks, I am seriously considering Ruby Woo. It is matte and just a seriously gorgeous shade and I haven't found a dupe that I love.
Then we have Hue, I really like Hue, this is just a simple, everyday colour .

L-R; Illamasqua cream blusher 'Rude', MakeUp Revolution blusher 'Treat', Eyelure Brow Shapers, (bottom left) MakeUp Revolution Mono Eyeshadow Eden.

So I've only just got my hands on MakeUp Revolution and I must admit, I really like it so far! This blusher goes a long way so I only need a tiny bit but it gives me a lovely fresh glow and the eyeshadow is just the most gorgeous green, perfect for a smokey eye with a little bit of colour.

Eyelure Brow Shapers have saved me! We all know how scary it is when you have good brows and you go get them done and you're terrified it's gonna go wrong....well mine did at christmas and my left one still hasn't recovered so I really don't feel like going to get them done any time soon. I found these in Superdrug for about...maybe £3? and they're so good! they're shaped with an arch and luckily it suit my eyebrows perfectly! I got my friend to do mine for me and they worked a treat and I still have all the eyebrows I want but just a lot neater!!

And my trusty Illamasqua cream blusher! Best bargain I think I've bought this year, was £5 in the sale and a little goes a long way!! I use my small E.L.F stipple brush to apply it and it lasts all day!

Barry M Nail Paint Raspberry

This is literally all I have worn all summer long! One of my favourite all time nail colours!!

Favourite snack and drinks right now!!! This Elderflower water from Aldi is a hangover godsend!! I hate normal water but I can drink about 3 bottles of this a day! I probably shouldn't, but I do so....

And Peanut Butter M&M's like seriously, I found these in B&M for £1 a box.... I stocked up....

Oh...and some of my favourite books in the background there....

So there you have it! My August favourites!!

Hellraiser...

Just a quick little post about one of my favourite lipsticks of all time. Hellraiser by MAC.

I do love a bit of glitter every now and then but if I'm not feeling like I want to go all out and have sparking eyes, I go for this! its kind of a lilac/pink sparkly lipstick. I love it so much!!

I don't even remember what made me look at glittery lipsticks but I saw it out of the corner of my eye and had to have it.

I admit I don't wear it very often and I got it a while back but I do love it and it never fails to make me feel like I'm 5 again, and I will sit alone in my room with it on, not a scrap of other make up but this. It's such a lovely colour, I can't even get a swatch that shows you how cute it is!!

But yeah if you're looking for a sparkle for the festive period, or any party time for that matter Hellraiser is the one!!

p.s please excuse the awful pictures, and my nails. thanks.

What A girl Wants

Just been having a nosey online and found some things to add to my current wishlist, which is probably already the length of my arm!!

I intend to get my hands on them ASAP! I can’t wait to go on holiday, but this trying not to spend business is super hard work, and I’m not sure how long it will be until I crack!!

1.                                                                                                    Topshop Petite Matte Wetlook Leggings £18

2.                                                                                                              Topshop Scandi Floral Tee – Grey £18

3.                                                                                                                       Topshop Mighty Ankle Boots £45

4.                                                                                                              MAC Discotheque Nail Polish - £10

5.                                                                                                                               MUA Pro-Brow Kit - £3.50

6.                                                                                                          Urban Outfitters Moustache Cushion £25

7.                                                                                                                              Knuckle Duster Mug £10??

Ok, so I found the matte leggings I’ve been after! YAY! Also came across this pretty cute grey floral tee too!
I am so undecided on ankle boots, I love them but I can never decide between plain or studded??? For £45 from Topshop I think these are alright, and could probably get a studded pair from primark for ... I think they’re £18?? So, best of both worlds really.

Obsessed with this MAC nail polish, saw Rachel Zoe post it on instagram and it looks amazing on.

MUA is clearly a great high street, affordable make up brand and I am in LOVE with them at the minute!! I love that their items are so cheap but the quality is great! I have quite a few nail polishes, lipsticks and eyeshadows, and have recently bought their Extreme Volume Mascara, which is actually really, really good! I mean, I pile on lashings of mascara no matter what I use but I didn’t even bother putting lashes on when I used this! I’ll do a proper review on MUA when I go on another haul...with a tenner, yes, a make up haul with a tenner! Great isn’t it?! Anyways, back to the Pro-Brow Kit, I can not wait to try this!! I’ve been meaning to get a brow kit for a while, but I’ve been quite lazy and haven’t really bothered looking, so when I saw this for £3.50 I was so excited!!  I’ll let you know how it goes...

I’m thinking of decorating my room, its currently ‘Vintage Rose’ but I’m thinking white, just a plain crisp white. So I’ve been looking for little bits n’ bobs for my room and came across the moustache cushion in Urban Outfitters and I love it! I don’t know why, but I am loving the whole moustache thing at the moment....wish I could grow my own .... no, I don’t love it that much! But I WANT thsat cushion.

And finally, the knuckle duster mug, I have been dying for one of these for aaages, it was on my Christmas and birthday lists, but alas! Santa and my mum both forgot it! It’s ok though, I’ll get my own, I can’t decide between the black and white but I’m leaning towards the white, because, I know this is weird but ever since I saw Aria in Pretty Little Liars holding a mug with her nails painted super dark I thought they looked amazing, so I’m leaning towards white to show off my nails, odd, yes?
I think they’re around a tenner on eBay! I think they’re so cool!

Right, gonna go run a bath and dream of more pretty things to add to my list!!

Holiday Face!

So I’m going on holiday in 3 weeks and need to sort out my holiday/sun products!!
This is always stress. I’m quite fair skinned and can’t deal with sunburn at all so I wear SPF 50 all the time. Even here in dull old England, if it’s a little bit sunny.
I’ve got my sun cream sorted but make up is a nightmare for holidays.

I wear Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation when I’m here and I used to use Lorac ProtecTINT tinted moisturiser when I was away but I ran out last year and my Aunty hasn’t been to America this year so I haven’t been able to stock up.

My mum picked me up a Stila tinted moisturiser SPF 30 which I’m hoping will do the trick as I don’t like wearing heavy make up in the heat, and it will just end up a waste and sliding off anyway.
I think I’m going to stick to my rose Vaseline for my lips for a little bit of colour and I think its SPF 15?

I never know whether to use a bronzer or blusher when I’m away, my sister uses bronzer but she’s got a more olive tone to her skin and dark eyes so it looks fine on her. If I’ve kept on top of the old fake tan then it looks ok, but if I’m honest I’m kind of lazy, so most of the time that doesn’t happen, but then I can never decide on a peachy toned blusher or a dolly pink (which I wear everyday).
I suppose I’ll have to see how I go with the tan!

I’m going to take some lashes away with me this time because for some reason mascara always tries to run away from my eyelashes and just ends up sitting on my cheeks about 5 minutes after I’ve put it on. My favourite ones at the minute are just from Home & Bargain, they’re by Dimples and are £1.99 for 2 pairs!! They’re pretty natural looking too, which I like for holiday, I can’t stand the thought of being caked in make up in the warm weather.

I have really dry skin too, so I need to start drinking wayyy more water than I have been. Does anyone else find it hard to drink loads of water?...or just me?...

Well yeah, my skin is stupidly dry, so dry that I sleep with Vaseline on my face at night ( and also on my feet with fresh clean socks because it makes them baby soft!) and then have to apply some moisturiser before I put make up on if it’s feeling ok, if not I have to put bio oil on before my make up, which isn’t ideal because, well, because it’s oil!

My best friend gave me the Olay beauty fluid which I think is really good before I apply my make up, but she also bought me a Frankincense and Rose face cream which is soooo thick and luxurious feeling  and smells amazing! She says it works wonders so I’ll have to give it a proper go!

My mum however, insists I use Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish. I do love it, but to be honest, I don’t usually spend that much on products like that. I do get it as a gift for birthdays and christmas though, so I use it when I have it and would definitely recommend it!

I actually found that Superdrug do their own hot cloth cleanser and vitamin E range. I tried the ‘Superdrug Vitamin E Hot Cloth Cleanser’ and it was great! It came in a box with a muslin cloth and it worked really well and my face felt so nice after using it and it is a total steal at £5.99!!

I might buy the whole range when I don’t have any Liz Earle left and try it all out.

I am a fan of hot cloth cleansers though, I feel like they really do clean your face and leave it feeling fresh!
